reccenterwreckAs many as you saw by my last post this weekend, it’s official I am going to be a daddy. This has came with a huge range of emotions for me so far. The biggest ones being joy and excitement. I honestly can’t wait to have my own child to raise and share that adventure with Erin!! As all dad’s I am really rooting for a boy, but am more than anything praying for a healthy child and good health for Erin through all the coming months!
I have also felt other emotions. I broke out my ipod when I first found out we were having a kid and kept listening to the chorus of Don Williams’ “Rake and a Ramblin Man” which asks over and over “Do I look like a daddy to you?” Also as I think about all the lifestyle changes I am going to have to make and mature even more than when I got married as well as all I have to do financially and to the house to get ready for a child, I keep thinking about the verse where Paul talks about “putting away childish things.” Lots to think about and get ready for.
But over all I am super super excited and can’t wait to hold my baby in October. Plus, look what a cool daddy the baby has waiting!!!
